Laptop slip case

This year I am going to be transporting my laptop around a lot. Sure, I could use my laptop carry bag, but it's heavy and big, and when I am already wearing a backpack, carrying another bag around would not be fun (not to mention uncomfortable).

So I decided to make a slim protective laptop carry bag that would fit into my backpack, therefore allowing me to carry the weight of the laptop distributed between both shoulders instead of one.

The laptop carry case is constructed of two pieces of denim (black on the inside, stripy black on the outside, both leftovers from jeans) with a thin yet stiff synthetic batting sandwiched between. I quilted all three layers and then folded the piece up and binded it with black synthetic binding. The case closes with a velcro strip.

It fits my laptop nice and snugly and fits nicely in my bag. Mission accomplished!!
